Card boxes to match.................

It's so easy to make matching boxes for cards with depth using the Scoremaster or it's big Brother which is A3 size. You can create the box and lid to fit perfectly as below.

I made this one from 2 pieces of A4 card cut to 8 1/4" square and scored at 1" all round.

It's decorated using elements from Sara's Shabby Chic Collection, the same as the card inside.

It's a fabulous way of protecting the dimension created on a card too.

Shabby Chic....................cont.

Well, I have to say I'm absolutely loving this collection by Sara Davies!

I began with some white card 6x6" square and cut the edge with the Antique Edge die using the curve. It comes with a scalloped edge too so I cut the 6x6" patterned paper to fit inside.
Another piece was added inside as an insert.
A piece torn from the Rustic Lattice die was added top left and the Filigree Flourish at the bottom.

I adore this Classic Lily set which was cut with white card and coloured with Distress inks.

The fabulous linen script ribbon and Cherished memories die and stamp set finished my design.

Off to make a box for it now methinks!

JOFY stamps and Fresco paints

Paperartsy recently released some new JOFY stamps which I have a real addiction to!
So I got playing with Fresco paints and a couple of Neon colours I have and made these using a technique taught to me by Emma Godfrey.

The blooms and Butterfly were stamped onto another painted sheet and cut out - I hate leaving things flat.

And one with the previous release too.

These came from 2 x A4 sheets of cardstock - colours below.

But I hated to waste the leftovers so made a few little cards as below.
The flowers on some of these were made with Infusions and Fresco Metallic Glaze.

My trusty white gel pen was used too.

These are the main colours I used.

Valentine for the Inspirers

Shhh, don't tell! I realised it's Valentine's Day tomorrow and I'd not made the husband a card!

Crafter's Companion to the rescue with these fabulous Sheena Douglass Groovin' 60's stencils!

The card is only 4 3/4" square but its the thought that counts :)
I've used the Groovy Flower Power stencil as it has a lovely heart design on it, both on the main design and also as a background too - along with some of the flowers.
I've also used Circles of your mind which has the most delicious bubbly design.
Sheena's white card was the base, matted with black card and coloured with a variety of Distress inks.
A few highlights with a white gel pen and black fineliner to finish.
