Happy Birthday Liam

Happy Birthday Liam.

It was my friend's sons birthday yesterday and I made him this card - and yes, he got it on time!

I used an image from Stamping Bella which I borrowed from Lynn and coloured with Copic Markers.

The image was mounted onto red and gold cardstock as he is a Liverpool fan, also the shirt!

I cut the letters with my Cricut Don Juan cartridge and put them on with 3d foam so they form the support for the easel card.

Papers were scraps from my stash.

So.... I succeeded in my challenge and have blogged every day during October - phew!
Hope I haven't bored you all too much (those of you in cyberspace that take the time to look - thank you!)

P.S. Please feel free to comment - it's always nice to know you are there :)

Bit of a quiet week for Desk Ted....

Bored, bored, bored.

There was a Desk Ted who lived in a shoe...

Adventures planned....

Mad Cat

Ariel was "playing" with Lianne and her new toys.
Suddenly she went mad and just started attacking the stair rods.

And a bouncy furry thing.....

And another...

She's so fast and runs around the house at 100mph.

Additional Elephant

Introducing Glastonelly...

This was one I didn't get to see as it was only on display at Glastonbury Festival.
It was not on the original list of 258 elephants which I am still trying to finish blogging!
More to come.....

Fish..

I took these photo's at our local Pets at Home.
They have a huge selection of fish both tropical and freshwater.

I really was fascinated by the Sea Horses and once was lucky enough to find a skeleton of one on a beach.
They sell for a whopping £150 each and are very difficult to keep.

Don't know what this one was but he was very friendly :)

The Nemo fish were whizzing round the tank so blurred the image.

I'd love to keep fish but they'd probably end up like my houseplants - dead :(

Page.2.

This is the 2nd page I created to make a DLO with yesterdays.

I created some more flowers and added the same pearls and cabochons as before.

This is how they look together.

Winabella

Another order for work, a 40th birthday card for Sangita.
I took my collection of Bella's to work and Sonja chose this one - Winobella.
I stamped her and coloured with Copics and sparkle.
The card is a 6x6 linen effect from CWC which I made into an easel card.
Bella was mounted onto red, black and silver and placed over some red ribbon.

A close-up of Bella.

Letters cut from my Zooballoo Cricut cartridge and glittered with Stickles.

The message is also CWC mounted onto SU punched card.
I added some silver card candy too.

One extreme to the other - Pink, Pink and Pink....

I have been busy lately with orders from work and here is another....

As per the title of this blog entry I went from one extreme to the other, this request was for something very pink and bling.
The little girl it is for loves fairies and is going to see Disney on Ice so Tinkerbell was an obvious choice.
This was cut with my Cricut cartridge which I got from Cardinal Colours.
It's a 6x6 card from CWC and the paper is from a DCWV kit I got ages ago.

The greeting is also CWC mounted into SU punched circle and scallop.
The letters were cut with my Circut Zooballoo cartridge (also Cardinal Colours)

The letters were pink cardstock which I covered with Icicle Stickles.
I added a few gems for more bling too.

No Pink!!!

This is another card for Kerry at work to take back to South Africa.
It's her niece's 1st birthday and the brief was to make a card following one that she had bought which was like a first year book with blanks to fill in.
The purchased one was too cutesy which she didn't like and had pink on it -
the directions were "NO PINK!!"

Here is the result:

I used an 8x8" DCWV pad called Nanna's Nursery - Baby Boy which I got from Cardinal Colours.

The front page was one from the paper pad.
I cut out the giraffe and flowers from the 2nd page and mounted with 3d foam pads.
Pearls were added to the flower centres.
The words were cut with my Cricut Zooballoo cartridge also from Cardinal Colours.

The first centre spread.
The card is made using 2 8x8" CWC white cards stuck together to form a pocket in the centre where I placed a tag.
The elements were also cut with the Zooballoo Cartridge.

A close up of the Monkeys....

And the Lions....

This is the centre tag, tied with some cords.

The 2nd page spread ready for a photograph and with a verse.

Hope she like's it.

Princess Ariel

Princess Ariel has arrived!

Robert collected her from Battersea Dogs Home on Friday afternoon so we
could spend the weekend with her.

She's very petite and elegant so I decided she should wear a Tiara.

We were not amused :)

I think she will settle in well.

Bold Journalling - Page 2

At the Cardinal Colours retreat recently I made a page by Laura, see here.

I wanted to make it into a double LO so I bought some more of the Delovely papers by Cosmo Cricket from Jill and made the following.

As I didn't have the same punches as at the class I used some by Martha Stewart and some by SU.
I chose some Green Bazzil for the background as a contrast.

Buttons are from my stash by BG and the sentiment is from the original kit along with the title letters.

And this is how they work together.
