Happy Birthday Abigail.

Happy Birthday to my Great-Niece Abigail.

I bought this Kaisercraft Princess Mini Album recently and decorated it for her birthday card.
The papers are a mixture of the new Prima Springtime range, from Cardinal Colours, and some from my stash that I have had for ages.

The letters are Sassafrass lass and I must remember to add a number too!
Blossoms were added around the entrance and a strip cut from a Martha Stewart deep edge punch added as a portcullis.

The fairy images came with the castle so I coloured them with my Copic Caio markers, cut it out and added it with 3d foam. These papers are from the Jack'n'Jill range.

The photo (disguised with a daisy) was mounted onto a piece of paper to which I had stapled ribbons along the edge.
Another stamped image was added which was cut with a Nestie borrowed from Sue, Thanks!

This image was mounted onto hot pink glitter card over a ribbon that says Princess.
The ribbon on the turrett holds a heart charm.

This is the back where I will add my message and below is a close up of the charm which Anita kindly gave me - Thanks Anita xx

Thanks for looking :)

A 30th Birthday card

Another card requested by the lovely Claire that I work with - I think she may be my best customer at present - Thank-you :)

The card base is a CWC 8x8 scalloped edge to which I added a matt of patterned cardstock which Lynn shared with me recently. I think it may be DCWV but don't quote me on it.
Its glossed and glittered so very dimensional.
The letters are Sassafrass Lass - available from Cardinal Colours.

I did a little recycling here as the lower flowers and feather came from a gift box of chocolates given to me on my birthday, but they are the perfect match. The other flowers are from my collection.
The ribbon came from a lovely box of mints that Karen gave me at Debden last week and I added a few jewells.

As Claire loves pink and bling, I had to buy this glittered card when I saw it last week - perfect for the job.
I used some plastic templates I have and hand cut the numbers which I then edged with black diamond stickles. The butterfly is CWC and has has a flower stamen as antennae. I added dots of stickles for the body too.
I really hope Kelly liked it - Happy Birthday!

Happy 60th Keith

This is the other one I made for Denise who is the lady in the photograph here with Keith.
I used a CWC 8x8 card and again folded back the front panel. Decorated with papers from DCVW which are in my stash.

As Denise had supplied a few images for this one I printed one large and the rest wallet sized then created this concertina fold-out with the others on.

It secures with a black ribbon.

The numbers are in a scallop and circle created with my SU punches and the letters are peel-offs.

Happy Birthday Keith, hope you have a really lovely day.
Denise - more notice next time PLEASE!!!! :)

Last Minute Denise strikes again!

My lovely friend Denise requested some more cards from me - last minute as usual - asked me Tuesday night to collect Wednesday night - no pressure then! This is the first.

She wanted to incorporate some photographs which I believe were taken in a tanning booth.
I think they are quite spectacular.

I used an 8x8 CWC card and folded the front back on itself. Decorated with Dovecraft - Aquamarine Flowers papers and DCWV bazzill card.

Letters are Sassafrass Lass from Cardinal Colours which I have edged with a fineliner.
The flowers are punched with the retro daisy with small circle centres.

I added a printed butterfly from CWC and some stickles for a little sparkle.

Happy Birthday Michelle :)

About time too!

I have had these beautiful photographs of my great-nephew since he was born @ 18 months ago.
I have tried to scrap them many times but never found the right papers.
However, whilst on our retreat at the weekend I was playing the the Marjolaine paper pack (available at Cardinal Colours) and made the following.

I will add the journalling later on.
The jewelled image was from Cardinal Colours too.
The base page on this was made with a doily and Cosmic Shimmer mists - thanks Anita :)

This is how it looks as a double

The ribbon technique below was used by Karen at the weekend and was so pretty that I decided to use it here. The words are from a new stamp set I recently purchased by Hero Arts.
Thanks Karen too :)

Please excuse my strategically placed daisies, they are to disguise the identity.

It was quite funny really as I made 6 layouts and a mini album - some I have to wait to share - and four of the six were made from the same paper pack! Think I may be buying another one soon. :)

Thanks for looking x

Captain Robert

For his birthday this year, I bought Robert a voucher for iPilot, a flight simulator at Bluewater.
You have an hour to play and these are some photographs taken during the session.

More Marjolaine papers from BG used here, available from Cardinal Colours.
I based my layout on a page map and used Lynn's sewing machine to stitch around the edge.
The fans were made with my Martha Stewart deep edge punch.

BG Marjolaine....

For my birthday I was lucky enough to receive a pack of Basis Grey Marjolaine papers which I fell in love with. I had seen this LO on the BG website and really wanted to make it so I ordered the patterned doilly and during our weekend away I created the following.

I really don't like photographs of myself but wanted one of my new haircut in February. This was taken by Robert and I printed it in black and white so it would go with any colour papers.

The flowers were cut from another sheet of paper and layered with 3d foam and topped with flat backed pearls.

I have to admit to being very pleased with the result.

Desk Ted is a bad bad boy!

I have just returned from our annual retreat and have to advise of the bad behaviour of Desk Ted.
On Saturday night he and his new "friends" as below held a drunken party and this is how we found them on Sunday Morning!

What can I say?

February and March calendar

Earlier in the year I said I would share my Jack Vettriano calendar pictures with you.

More George...

I was playing with some scraps recently and made this LO of George.
I had seen a layout by Cindy Tobey and this is based roughly on it.
The base is dotted swiss bazzill from Cardinal Colours and the papers are The Girls Paperie Collection from Papermaze.

The scallops down the side are punched with an SU scalloped punch, cut in half and set along the edge.
Below is a close up of the flowers which were punched from different sizes of the retro daisy punch and the others made from a circle using the spiral technique. The leaves were punched with a Martha Stewart punch as were the butterflies which I punched twice and layered.

The bunting was also scalloped punched shapes which I folded over and "strung" with embroidery thread.
The letters are some rub-ons which I have had for ages.

Watch this space for the rest of these papers, coming soon :)
Shhhhh, dont say I told you lol!

Thanks for taking a peek.

The image is a Kraftin Kimmie called Nerissa which I got from Quixotic Paperie.
It was coloured with Copic Ciao markers.

The papers are from a selection I have had in my box for a while now.
The letters are from Cardinal Colours by Sassafras Lass.

Bunting for Lianne

Saturday 5th March, we went for our monthly crop at Cardinal Colours with the usual suspects and much fun and laughter.
I made the banner below for Lianne's 21st birthday, here you see it hanging the the dining room ready for our Sunday party.

I used some papers I bought last year at the big event and added matching bazzill cardstock.

Here are the close-ups:

I made a cardboard template to cut the triangles then traced and cut the dotty paper. It was stuck onto the bazzill and cut around with pinking shears. Eyelets were added to the corners and it was threaded onto white ribbon. The letters were cut the the Cricut Jasmine cartridge and Lynn kindly cut out the butterflies.
I used the retro flower punch in 2 sizes to make the flowers and borrowed Anita's leaf punches to finish them. Candi was added to the centres. The butterflies were stuck together pattern onto plain then the body added and glittered.
