New Media cards..................

This card was my first attempt with Brushos on watercolour paper.
The stamps are from Paper Artsy, Joffy collection.

The words are also stamped and cut out.
I added accents with a white Sharpie pen too.
This was my Sister-in-Law's birthday card - Happy Birthday Terrie!

When playing with the Aqua Tints I ended up with a slim strip of watercolour paper so I made the following.  The background was colour washed with the inks and I used the same stamp collection to create the flowers. I coloured these using the inks too.

I added white accents to this one too then added mounts of Bazzill to create the card.

I'm liking these new mediums - have you tried them yet?

Lavinia Dies (to die for!)

Lavina Stamps recently released some beautiful silhouette dies which I instantly fell in love with.
These are my first attempts playing with one.......

I used Navy Bazzill as the base card and also to cut the silhouette from.
The background is watercolour paper with a new set of Aqua Tints (another new purchase - I am sooooo naughty!)
I used some more Navy bazzill to mount this onto but added red tape to the edges and some Martha Stewart Hematite glitter.

I also cut an extra fairy for this one and raised her on 3d foam pads.
The wings were glittered with Glamour Dust.

The second one was made in the same way but with Golden Beryl Glitter around the edge.

The last one has gold mirri card as a mount, I rounded the corners of this one too.

Thanks for taking a look.

Blue and Silver Card Challenge from Crafts-u-Love.

This month the lovely Paula from CRAFTS U LOVE is challenging you to create a card for Christmas using Blue and Silver.

I used several die sets from Sue Wilson to create this one.

Layers of blue and white bazzill for the base, then the sentiment "let it Snow" in the centre.

I added glossy accents to "snow" and sprinkled with glitter, then  added some blue gems.

Each side I added a silver and white holly frond with a white layered poinsettia in the centre.
I used a spiky flower centre from another die set in silver and added another gem to this.

The sentiment was made with two layers, one in silver and one in blue to create a shadow effect.

Still some time left to enter this challenge - check out the details here

H is for Hearts - November Scrapology Challenge

This month we chose a stunning layout by Carmen Crosseti Henriques who's blog Carmen's blog Scrap Joy can be found here.

I made two versions, one with hearts -

I kept this one very simple with white bazzil and white hearts which were machine stitched.
A few scraps of patterned paper and some red gems were used too and some stamping.

The second, I used flowers

I used some Basic Grey papers and punched the flowers, these were hand stitched with a sew it all.
Stamped sentiments were added along with some sticker letters.

And of course gems.

This is the original and sketch.....

Plenty of time to join in with our challenge - check out the details and our lovely DT's pages here.

Catch-up (again!)

Well, once again I am playing catch-up..............

This is a card I made recently using a decoupage sheet of a Molly Harrison image.
The artwork is so stunning that is doesn't need any embellishments so I just used a silver mirri board and purple mount.

This one was for my nephew's birthday.
It's based on an idea I found on Pinterest.
The hexagons are from an SU punch and the fronds a Penny Black die.

And his son's birthday card made using paper from  my stash - Bo Bunny I think? and a decoupage image from a set I got recently.

This one goes back a long way! I was clearing up and found a kit that I got from Zoe Pierson at one of the Cardinal Colour retreats - probably the first one!
I didn't have any instructions or photos so had to make it up.

And again, from a while back - a workshop make and take from Crafts-u-Love.

One day I may be up to date - but I doubt it.

Thanks for taking a look.
