Wedding Card for Maria and Paul

My colleague Jennifer requested a couple of cards recently - this is the first, a wedding card for her friends.

I used an 8x8" card blank covered in cream bazzill and layered with navy blue.
A large Martha Stewart PATP was used in the centre layered with blue and more cream and their names cut from a Sizzix alphabet.

The flowers are again from a Heartfelt Creations die and the centres are a Martha Stewart snowflake punch.  Memory box and Penny Black dies were used for the foliage.

A real ribbon bow in navy was topped with a cream Creative Expression die cut one which I added some decorative pins to and a diamante.

Glittery stickles finished the card.

Congratulations to the happy couple.

50th Wedding Anniversary

The lovely Samantha asked me to make a golden wedding card for her parents and sent me some photos to include.

It's an 8x8" card base with cream bazzill and gold mirri board layered and edged with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set.
The letters and numbers are die cut

The flowers are from a Heartfelt creations die which I have shaped and layered. The centre is from a different die and I added pearls to the middles.
Lots of die cut fronds and punched leaves were added too.

I dotted some tiny gems around and added some lovely glittery stickles to finish the card.

Happy Anniversary Rita and husband!

Always smile at a Crocodile

This is a layout I made a year ago that I wasn't really happy with but found again recently in a box decided it wasn't as bad as I'd originally thought.

It uses a paper kit Lynn got me from Papermaze containing lots of lovely papers.

I cut the chevron paper to signify Crocodile teeth.
The letters were from my collection and I coated them with Stickles and outlined in black.

Robert and I had been "keepers for the day" at Crocodiles of the World in Oxfordshire - a fabulous day out! We were lucky enough to handle the baby Crocs, weighing and measuring them, hence the tape ribbon I used on the layout.

I really didn't want to put them down!

I punched the bottom of a tag and added some string for my journalling.

And some text paper too.

It's good to put them to one side when you're not sure because you may be pleasantly surprised when found again!

As it's Friday, thought I would share this too -

Thanks for taking a look.

Hollie 21

The last one for Dilek is for her friend Hollie who was celebrating her 21st birthday.

I chose Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls Felicity and Blair for this card which is the same size as before.
With papers from my collection and a seam binding edge along two sides, I added numbers cut from templates which I edged with a fineliner in brown and a white gel marker.

The image was coloured with my Copics then cut out and added by the number 1.

I punched some flowers and leaves and added them to the 2 along with a stamped message.

The letters are Basic Grey stickers which have been glittered with Stickles.

Lastly some gems for added sparkle.

Hollie makes amazing cakes - check out her facebook page.

Ernie 1

Another one for Dilek for her nephew........

Another 8x8" scalloped card with papers from my collection.
I used stamping up cardstock to mount.

The image is Crafters Companion, Angelica & Adam collection - Pirates Ahoy - coloured with Copics.

I added some bakers twine knotted around the spine, plus a Penny Black die cut and Lili of the Valley stamped message.

The letters again were a Sizzix die set which I coated in glossy accents.

Thanks for taking a look.

Evelyn 3

I've had a very busy time recently with lots of orders from my lovely friends and colleagues, I can't tell you how honoured I am to be asked :)

The first of which was for Dilek's niece Evelyn. Dilek is off on her travels to Asia and Australia so I would like to wish her the best of luck, stay safe and have a fabulous time!

This one is an 8x8" scalloped edge card with papers from DCWV.

The image is Crafters Companion, Angelica and Adam collection, Cherry on Top, which I have coloured with Copics.

The name and number are a Sizzix alphabet which was glittered with Stickles.

I added a bright pink ribbon and bow (although it looks a little fluorescent here?) and mounted the image on 3d foam.

Some Mulberry blooms and Martha Stewart punched leaves finished the card with a few gems too.

S is for Squares - Scrapology February Challenge.

And also for Sandals, Great Exuma!

This month we chose to scraplift Melinda Spinks beautiful layout.
Here is mine.

I used some leftover papers from a kit from last years Merly Impressions retreat called Happy Snaps.
It had lots of lovely elements which were the perfect squares.
I added 2 lots of 3 photographs which we took whilst on holiday last November/December in the Bahamas, love the beautiful blue skies - sigh!

One I had placed the squares (which are just over 2" each) and the photographs, I ran a line of teal seam binding underneath with red tape - nice and strong - then some mulberry flowers, ribbon roses, leaves and stems.

I had some Tulle which I fanned out too and added loops of ribbon and some pins.
The letters were from the collection too - click here for more details - and outlined them with a black marker.

This is Melinda's beautiful original with our sketch as usual.

Still some time to enter the challenge - check it out on Scrapology for more inspiration from our fabulous Design Team.
